  Where did you visit? I've been there dozens of times across the years & nothing you said has been my experience. (Virtually large portions?) There is no ketchup on the sandwich, and most people crawl out under the weight of the food. Even the story about the reasoning behind the construction of the sandwich is incorrect. A second visit (or perhaps a non-imaginary first one) might be

    Primanti's most overrated rest.-. Portions appear large but are virtually not. Food is not very good. . They were novel in that they put the coleslaw, fr. fries, and sm. amt of meat between thick bread. A waiter? expl. that this was a way to red. theft by the bums who ate in the strip. who walked out with utensils, salt shakers, etc. So,Put everything on the sandwich, put sandwich on styrof. plate, and give you a few napkins to wipe the coleslaw dressing, ketchup and crumbs off you chin and shirt. -- 11/11/1999 11:15:01 AM
